Terms of Service
Draft for the open beta, pending legal review. It may change before the studio leaves beta; we'll tell you when it does.
These terms add to the HivemindOS Terms of Service, which cover your HivemindOS account, your credits and your use of HivemindOS in general. Where the two differ about the studio, these terms win. The studio is operated by Rizzma Inc..
1. The beta
Hivemind Content Studio is in open beta. Features change, things break, and we may pause or end the beta. We'll tell you before we delete anything of yours because the beta ended.
2. Who can use it
You must be 18 or older, and able to agree to these terms where you live. You sign in with your HivemindOS account and you're responsible for what happens under it.
3. Credits and charges
Generating spends credits from your HivemindOS balance. Before each generation the studio shows the most it can cost, and you're never charged more than that. If a generation fails on our side, its credits come back to your balance. Credits are bought and refunded under the HivemindOS Terms. We limit how much and how fast any account can generate, to keep the service fair and to protect you from runaway spending.
4. What you make
As between you and us, you own what you make, to the extent the law lets anyone own it. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store, process and send your files back to you. Laws about AI-generated work are still settling, and some outputs may not be protectable at all. You're responsible for how you use what you make, including checking it doesn't infringe anyone's rights before you publish it.
5. What you can't make
Everything in the Acceptable Use Policy. We check prompts, uploads and results automatically and refuse what breaks it. We may suspend or close accounts that try to get around those checks, and we report child sexual abuse material to the authorities as the law requires.
6. Your files are encrypted to you
Results and uploads are encrypted to a key only your browser holds. That protects you, and it also means we can't recover your library if you lose both your password and your recovery key. Keep your recovery key somewhere safe.
7. Ending
You can delete your studio workspace at any time from Settings. That deletes your library on this service immediately; your HivemindOS account and balance are separate and stay yours.
8. No warranty, limited liability
The beta is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited as set out in the HivemindOS Terms.
9. Source code
The studio is free software under the GNU Affero General Public License v3. You can get the exact source code of the version you're using from /source.
